Alec Vinsant

Alec Vinsant, APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Kentucky University and his Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University. With more than 12 years of combined experience in primary care, healthcare management, direct primary care, and surgical care, Alec brings both clinical depth and leadership experience to his work with patients.
Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Alec built a strong clinical foundation as a registered nurse in surgery and on a cardiac step-down ICU, where he developed a sharp focus on critical thinking, patient advocacy, and collaborative care. As a provider, he has worked across a range of settings including primary care, endocrinology, occupational health, and Direct Primary Care. In addition to his clinical roles, he has served in healthcare leadership positions such as health center manager and clinic administrator, while also helping mentor the next generation of clinicians by precepting nurses and training new nurse practitioners.
Alec’s philosophy of care is rooted in finding and addressing the underlying cause of a patient’s concerns rather than simply masking symptoms. He believes meaningful, lasting health improvements come from understanding why a problem is happening, partnering closely with patients, and building a practical, sustainable path toward better wellness and quality of life.
